Beginner Knitting
SAMPLER SCARF $45
Learn how to: cast yarn on needles, practice various stitches, and develop event knitting tension
Three 1.5 hour classes. Ages 12 and up.
SKILLS NEEDED
Absolutely none. Our beginner class is ideal for those completely new to the craft or those who have not knitted in years and need a refresher.

MATERIALS
200 yards lt. worsted weight wool, wool blend, or other natural fiber in a light color. Recommend you do not use cotton or acrylic fibers in dark colors. Yarn is available in our Studio; we have several colors you can choose from.
Knitting needles in a US size #5/6 or size required to produce the gauge. Bamboo needles are either 'in straight' or circular. Metal needles are good too, but might find bamboo easier to learn on.
Misc: darning needle, 2 ring markers, row counter (optional), safety pin, cable needle — close to size 5 or 6

PREPARATION
Be sure to come to the studio early enough to have your yarn purchased and wound into balls before the start of class (suggested 15-30 minutes).

Advanced Beginner Knitting
EASY WINTER CAP $45
Learn how to: cast on, easy cable stitches, pattern fitting.
Three 1.5 hour classes. Ages 12 and up.
SKILLS LEARNED
This class will discuss how to set yourself up for success in a cabled pattern, read a cabled chart, fix mistakes or mis-crossed cables, cabling without a needle, and measure gauge across a cabled swatch. If you’ve never tried basic cabling before, or are ready to level up your skills,
SKILLS NEEDED
Know how to cast on, knit, and purl.
MATERIALS
“Willow Wolf Hat” pattern by Jocelyn Tunney (available on Ravelry)
Approx 179 yards of Light Worsted Weight 3-Ply Yarn - available in our studio; we have several colors you can choose from.
Knitting needles in a US size #6 (4mm) 16” circular needle (or size to obtain gauge), and #4 (3.5 mm) 16” circular needle (or size to obtain gauge) for ribbing. Or US 6/4mm set of double-pointed needles or same size as gauge needle.

Intermediate Knitting
Fair Isle or Stranded Knitting - Top Down Sweater $45
Learn how to use two or more colors throughout a row to create a pattern, by carrying the yarn colors that are not worked along the inside until they are used again to show on the outside of the sweater.
Four 1.5 hour Classes for those above the age of 16.
MATERIALS
Select a Jenn Steingass 2 color stranded sweater pattern, that is knit from the top down. You can find her patterns for sale on the Ravely website lovewool-knits
Circular knitting needles - size(s) as noted in pattern to make gauge
Lt. Worsted or DK yarn - A 'main color' and a 'contrast color' that can be purchased from our LuxeFiber Studio.
Stitch markers
Blunt nose tapestry needle
Clover brand - 2 circular stitch holders for the arms

While supplies are not included in the price of the class, we find that almost all of our classes can be taken with between $15 and $30 in supplies. I've found "Needles in the Haymarket" located in Gainesville, VA to be very helpful.

Payment is due upon time of registration. We are unable to hold spaces in classes and workshops without prepayment.

Class fees are not refundable unless the class is canceled by the shop. If cancellation is made outside of 72 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit for use for any future purchase with the shop. Classes with fewer than two students may be canceled or rescheduled for insufficient registration. Your registration is valid for the dates listed in the description and may not be transferred to other class dates.
If you have a last minute cancellation, please contact the shop. If we are able to fill your space, we are happy to provide you with a store credit, even within the 72 hour time frame. We understand that emergencies happen, so we will do everything possible to find someone to take your spot. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a store credit or transfer if we are not able to fill your space.

LuxeFibers Studio follows the Federal Government when determining whether to cancel classes due to poor weather conditions. If these agencies close for weather, we will certainly delay or reschedule classes for that day. If we do not reschedule classes, but you do not feel comfortable commuting in the weather, please contact the studio to learn about Thursday evening's "Open Knitting" held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30–8:00 PM ET.
